Bret & Eddieka
Dr. Bret Christensen is board certified in dental sleep medicine through the American Sleep and Breathing Academy and has been serving North Central Idaho for decades. He has treated families from across the United States and Canada with a focus on careful diagnosis and long-term results.
Over time, his practice evolved from traditional orthodontics to a structure-first, airway-focused approach. His training in dental sleep medicine and his commitment to measurement-based care shape how orthodontics is delivered in this office.
Bret’s wife, Eddieka, plays an important role in the early airway side of the practice. As a certified breastfeeding counselor, she works closely with infants and families navigating feeding challenges and early development concerns.
Her involvement has strengthened the practice’s focus on tongue posture, jaw growth, and airway development in young children.
Together, they have built a practice that evaluates structure before alignment and prioritizes stability over cosmetic trends.

How the Practice Evolved
Christensen Airway & Orthodontic Center began as a traditional orthodontic office.
Straighten teeth. Correct bites. Finish cases.
Over time, patterns became clear. Many patients who came in for braces also struggled with mouth breathing, restless sleep, jaw discomfort, or fatigue.
Crooked and crowded teeth were often symptoms of something deeper.
The practice gradually shifted from being tooth-focused to being structure-focused.
