Dr. Kan Tsunoda is an orthodontist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve healthy, confident smiles through thoughtful, individualized orthodontic care. He brings a strong background in neuroscience, oral biology, research, and advanced orthodontic training to Christensen Airway & Orthodontic Center.
Dr. Tsunoda began his education at Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. His interest in the relationship between biology, development, and human health led him to Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine–Illinois, where he graduated with honors and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He then completed his specialty training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, finishing an orthodontic residency while earning a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Tsunoda's commitment to evidence-based care runs throughout his career — he's been recognized by the American Association of Oral Biologists for his academic work and has contributed to research published in the Journal of Dental Research.
At Christensen Airway & Orthodontic Center, Dr. Tsunoda's approach goes beyond simply straightening teeth. He shares our commitment to evaluating each patient comprehensively — considering the teeth and bite within the larger framework of facial growth, skeletal development, function, and the craniofacial-respiratory complex. This means treatment focuses not only on a confident smile, but on building a healthy structural and functional foundation that benefits patients for years to come.
Just as importantly, Dr. Tsunoda believes patients should feel comfortable, understood, and involved in their care. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families, building relationships that last throughout their orthodontic journey.
Outside the office, Dr. Tsunoda's greatest priority is his family — he and his wife have four daughters, and they love spending time outdoors together skiing, mountain biking, camping, and exploring new places. He's also a devoted Coldplay fan, so don't be surprised if one of their songs makes its way onto the office playlist.
We're excited to welcome Dr. Kan Tsunoda to Christensen Airway & Orthodontic Center and look forward to having his knowledge, experience, and dedication to patient care as part of our team.
Contract Doctor
Dr. Andrea Radabaugh works with our team on pediatric airway cases, including tongue-tie evaluations and early intervention treatment. She brings advanced training and a strong clinical background in comprehensive dentistry.
Originally from southern Idaho, Dr. Radabaugh earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree magna cum laude from Creighton University School of Dentistry and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Idaho State University.
Her personal experience with her daughter’s tongue and lip ties, along with the loss of a family member due to untreated sleep apnea, deepened her commitment to airway-focused care. She understands firsthand how underdeveloped jaws and restricted breathing can affect long-term health.
Dr. Radabaugh practices part-time in our office while maintaining her dental practice in Craigmont, Idaho. Her presence strengthens our ability to serve infants, children, and families navigating early airway concerns.
Eddieka plays an important role in the early airway focus of the practice. As a certified breastfeeding counselor, she works closely with infants and families navigating feeding challenges, tongue posture concerns, and early developmental questions.
Her involvement strengthens the practice’s ability to identify structural airway concerns at the earliest stages of life. By working with families during infancy and early childhood, she helps ensure that jaw growth and breathing patterns are evaluated before problems become more complex.
Eddieka’s role reflects the practice’s commitment to early intervention and whole-family care.
Our clinical assistants work directly alongside Dr. Christensen and Dr. Radabaugh during treatment. They assist with appliance placement, monitor expansion progress, and help patients understand each stage of care.
Many of our patients are siblings, parents, and now the next generation of families we have treated over the years. That continuity reflects the trust placed in our team.
We do not rush treatment.
We explain clearly.
We measure carefully.
And we work together to protect long-term stability for every patient we serve.
